A Personal Note:

In 2018, I experienced a pinched nerve in my neck that caused tingling and some loss of sensation in my my dominant hand (the left hand). This condition was caused and exacerbated by the many hours of welding that I put in to create the body of work on this website. I was advised by my doctors to stop welding and begin physical therapy if I wished to retain use of my hand.

This is why I stopped welding, and returned to drawing in 2018 (a discipline that I originally pursued prior to becoming a sculptor). So, like artists do for a variety of reasons, I reinvented myself, including the drastic change in the style of what I am creating. Additionally, I wrote a children's book, and the works in the section called "Joey and Ember, or How to Fix the World" are the accompanying illustrations for this project.
